I brought my sweet Arty’s dog tags along this time and we sipped a few beers and went cliff jumping with some locals. I think he would have loved it here. The cost of the fight for freedom and equality weighs heavily on my mind today. We’ve come a long way as a great nation of immigrants, refugees, and Native Americans. But we have a long way to go to ensure freedom and equality for each and every American. I’m honored to remember the lives of great Americans, like Arthur Guise, who were committed to that fight. I’m honored to serve with likeminded Americans and host nation civilians from a location that preserves the liberties we know and enjoy. And I’m honored to continue that fight alongside some of the best Americans our country has to offer. Happy Independence Day, America.
